What you get
Six deliverables — not lines of text, but specific tools that change how the home works on your body, your day and your family.
Vastu map of the house
Every room placed by its function and the path of the sun: bedroom toward sunrise for circadian health, kitchen in the Agni sector, quiet center (brahmasthan) free of engineering shafts. Vastu compatibility check on every element of the plan.
Sazhen calculation by your heights
External dimensions follow the husband's height, interior rooms follow the wife's, both through Φ. Doorway widths, window heights, ceiling, pier intervals — all on the same harmonic scale. The body recognises the proportions before the mind does.
Connection & solitude zones
Living and dining areas designed as gathering points; bedrooms and study placed for solitude. Children's rooms sized to their height. The home brings people together — and gives space when needed.
Plot siting and orientation
The house placed on the plot for maximum morning light in bedrooms, evening shading on the west side, protection from wind on the north. Site analysis includes shadows from neighbouring buildings and landscape, future panels and access.
Facade in golden ratio
Facade proportions designed through Φ — like the buildings of Palladio and Le Corbusier's Modulor. The house doesn't go out of fashion because it was never in it.
Natural materials specification
Wood, lime, clay, stone — selected for your climate. Walls that breathe, no toxins. Aligns with LEED, BREEAM, WELL and Passivhaus criteria — see for-developers.
The concept matters where a mistake later costs more than the design work itself.
At this stage we can still calmly change the house placement, entrance, bedrooms, stairs, kitchen, terrace, light axes and proportions. After the foundation, most of these decisions become expensive compromises.
Where the house should stand
Cardinal directions, access, privacy, views, noise, slope, water, garden and future buildings.
How you live every day
Sleep, work, children, guests, silence, kitchen, morning light, private zones and family gathering places.
What should not be guessed on site
Stairs, wet zones, structure, engineering routes, windows, terraces and decisions contractors should not improvise.
A concept album for the next stage
A document ready to pass into working drawings: with decision logic, not just attractive plans.
How much does a concept cost
for your house?
Enter your approximate construction budget — and see the architecture fee and the savings a proper concept delivers.
Full concept: site placement, floor plans, orientation, proportions, materials. 4–8 weeks.
Full working drawings for construction. Facade design, interiors, author supervision.
A concept is not an expense — it is an investment in build quality. Correct planning saves on engineering. Natural materials (wood, lime, clay) are often available near the plot — cheaper than concrete. Correct solar orientation saves 10–40% on heating over 25 years. A house with EPC A/B class sells for 12–19% more.
Savings figures from American Solar Energy Society, U.S. Department of Energy, Green Building Canada.

The calculator shows approximate ranges. Exact price depends on house area, project complexity, family composition and site. Minimum concept fee — €5,000 regardless of construction budget.
A standard house is size S-M-L.
A Veda-Home is cut to your measure.
A bespoke suit from a tailor differs from a shopping-centre suit not in the price of the fabric, but in the fact that it was cut to your body. A house works the same way. A standard house is built to the average person from building codes — it pinches at the shoulders and hangs at the waist. A Veda-Home is calculated for your family — and feels like home from the first day.

A standard house is a set of materials by the code. Dimensions to the average person, windows wherever space allows, bedroom next to the kitchen. Thousands of families live in identical ones.
A Veda-Home is cut to your family's measure. Height, width, light, quiet, the rhythm of the day — all for exactly you. The house feels like home from the first day and serves without alterations.
A premium client understands this: the suit is made by a tailor, not bought at a shopping centre. A house — exactly the same.
In that time you will understand whether I am the right architect for you.

A concept is what
cannot be fixed later.
This is not working documentation and not interior design. These are the most important 4–8 weeks of the project — when decisions are made that stay for 30+ years.
A concept is
- +Site analysis by Vastu — shape, slope, surroundings, orientation
- +Placement of the house on the plot accounting for sun and cardinal directions
- +Proportions calculated to the owners' heights — sazhens of the golden ratio
- +Floor plans with rooms placed by function
- +Quiet centre of the house — brahmasthan and its realisation
- +Facade sketch in the style you choose
- +Material recommendations — natural, non-toxic
- +Document ready for handover to your local architect or structural engineer
A concept is not
- −Working documentation — facade, interiors, author supervision (separate, 6–9% of build cost)
- −Structural engineering calculations (loads, foundation, roof)
- −Planning permission (handled legally at the working-drawings stage)
- −Vedic ceremonies (optional, €300–500 per ritual including pandits)
- −Muhurta — auspicious date calculation for laying the foundation (from €200)
All these services are available separately. You can build a package that fits — or take only the concept.
from €5,000 · 3% of construction
Minimum €5,000 fixes the floor for any house. Above that — 3% of the construction estimate. RIBA / HOAI standard. Full pricing table and calculator →
A house is built once.
The concept is written once.
Every decision made at the concept stage either becomes walls — or does not. After the foundations are poured you can change the facade, the colour, the furniture. You cannot change the orientation of the house, the position of the bedroom, the proportions, the quiet centre.
Moving load-bearing walls
If the layout does not work — you either live with it forever, or it costs the price of another car. And a year out of the house while work is done.
Reorienting the house
Impossible. If the house is oriented incorrectly to the cardinal directions — that is for life. Demolish and build again.
Price of the concept
Of construction cost. Less than a site survey. Ten times less than the alterations afterwards.
The concept is the point where you still have a choice. After the foundations are poured the choice has been made — even if you were not aware of it.
4–8 weeks,
4 stages
A tight timeline — because a concept is an intensive analytical process that should not be stretched over months. Longer only if the client is travelling or waiting for plot documents.
Brief & questionnaire
project diagnosis. Questionnaire — site plan, family composition, owners' heights and style preferences.
Analysis & siting
Site assessment, orientation calculation, house placement on the land. Proportion calculation to the owners' heights. First layout sketches.
Concept
Final floor plans, facade sketches, sections, material specification. Presentation and discussion with you.
Corrections & handover
2–3 rounds of revisions per your wishes. Final document ready for handover to a structural architect — mine or yours.
«Is this really
what I need?»
«What if I already have an architect?»
That is normal — 70% of my clients do. I work in coordination with them: my job is the correct orientation, proportions, and site placement. Their job is the facade, structure, and supervision. The service is called "Coordination", from 1% of construction cost.
«What if I haven't bought a plot yet?»
This is the ideal moment to talk. 70% of a home's success depends on the plot — only 30% on the layout. Choose a "beautiful" plot without knowing the criteria and even the best architect cannot rescue it. Leave details or download the site checklist.
«What if construction has already started?»
It depends on the stage. If the foundation has not been poured yet — a great deal can still be corrected. If the walls are up — Vastu rectification is available. If you are already living there — there are options too. A short project diagnosis will make it clear.
5 questions about the concept
What exactly will I receive as a document?
An A3 album of up to 30 pages. Inside: site plan with house placement, floor plans with dimensions and room positions, sections, facade sketches, material specification, engineering recommendations, and the Vastu calculation document. This album is handed to your local architect — they use it as the basis for working drawings.
What if I need 5–10 iterations? Is that included in the 3%?
The 3% includes 2–3 rounds of revisions per your wishes. If more iterations are needed — that is normal and happens often. Additional rounds are billed hourly or as a package, agreed separately.
Will the house look Indian?
No. Vastu is not a style — it is the laws of proportion and orientation. The exterior will be the house you want: modern, classical, Scandinavian, minimalist, chalet, any style. Vastu works "beneath the clothes" — invisible but felt, just as a bespoke suit and a high-street suit look alike yet wear very differently.
I already have a finished project — can you review it?
Yes. That is a different service — "Coordination with your architect", from 1% of construction cost. I analyse your project for compliance with Vastu principles and suggest corrections. If the project deviates strongly I will tell you honestly that a new concept is better than patching.
Can I order just one part — for example, only review the plot?
Sketch and layout separately I do not provide — they are stages within the concept. If you have a finished project and need an expert Vastu review — that is coordination with your architect from 1% of construction cost. A project diagnosis is free, to understand which service suits you.
